Review: Benton Snail Bee Ultimate Serum

Benton recently released their newest product, the Benton's Snail Bee Ultimate Serum which is a multitasking serum enriched with Saccharomyces/Snail Secretion Filtrate Ferment Filtrate, Bee Venom, and Tea Tree Leaf Water. This serum helps to nourish, soothe, and keep skin supple than ever.

I am blessed to be one of the few who received this for free in exchange of an honest review. Just in time because I just recently finished my previous serum.

PACKAGING - This product is beautifully contained in a dropper bottle that is easy to handle and the dropper enables hygienic use. The dropper itself isn't really hard to get and dispense product which is a thumbs up.

SCENT - There isn't any particular scent. I actually thought it was gearing towards coconut but it isn't. Totally mild to no scent at all.

PRICE - This is originally priced at 23USD in Style Korean but they recently had Benton's anniversary so it was on sale for only 7.77USD so I had some panic-buying the last minute. I already include it now in my routine. I need to stock because it was so good. Though a little goes a long way for this and I think my current bottle can still last me 2-3 months.

EFFECT - This Snail Bee Ultimate Serum is made of Saccharomyces/Snail Secretion Filtrate Ferment Filtrate (70%) as a base. Saccharomyces/Snail Secretion Filtrate Ferment Filtrate is obtained by filtering fermented Snail Secretion Filtrate, which has been fermented by yeast derived from grapes. Bee venom in the serum helps to soothe blemishes. The serum is designed to protect skin and add suppleness to skin while helping to clear skin blemishes. Also, the Tea Tree Leaf Water and Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water (green tea leaf water) relieve the skin stress and help with blemishes.

What I like about this is that the formula spreads and absorbs by the skin well. Only a tiny drop goes a long way. It also has natural healthy ingredients and it helps with whitening and anti-aging.

It is also suitable for all skin types. The dropper bottle enables hygienic use. It is also free of fragrance, volatile alcohol, and PEGs. It is mild on the skin, and has a slightly acidic pH of 5.5,which is similar to healthy skin’s pH.

Yay for me! (。◕‿  ◕。)
  • Got it for FREE! Thanks Benton Cosmetic.
  • Gives instant hydration.
  • It has natural healthy ingredients.
  • It also has dual functionality, brightening and wrinkle care.
  • Small amount can cover broad skin area.
  • Absorbs well by the skin.

Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • For me, it would be a little expensive with the original price but it really does it job so I think splurging in this would still be great! (Just need to check on promos and sales once in a while)

Price: FREE
Bought from: Benton Cosmetics
Size: 35 ml.

To be honest, I'm not putting good words on this because I received it free, but I really am serious that this is one of the best serum I have tried. You can get yourself and be your own judge.

The Rant of a Skincare-holic

I am one of those people who are obsessed with skincare and to be honest, I do not know how to maintain this obsession because I keep on losing funds. HAHA. It isn't a joke. It is really expensive to invest in those products but I always feel that it's all worth it because I'm investing for my skin and it is for the long run. I prefer skincare over makeup products a. nd would definitely invest my time and money in it.

Since I can't keep up with all that's happening with the skincare world (my funds won't let me do so) , I then often join giveaways and such to somehow covered the expenses of buying the current skincare products release in  the market, that is if I'm given the chance to win.

It is just like needing to test out online casinos. You first test and gamble your time to discover if you are winning and if you do, more time and  energy will be used in joining  such  games. Just like what I do in those skincare giveaways. I also gamble my time and energy but there's no assurance if I will win in the end. Still, I take chances in gambling because it will somehow take me there, to those winnings I am yearning for.

I remember those days when I started betting my time in joining giveaway. I spent a lot of time in my day and I only got a little to nothing in return. But I still do it. Why? It is because I am still holding to the little percentage of winning and I like the joy I feel whenever I win.

So if you'll ask me if gambling is for me, then yes. I will gamble until I get what I want.

What Should You Look for in a Quality Pair of Ripped Jeans?

Sometime in the 90’s, grunge was born as the underground music movement that shaped a generation (TY Nirvana!). Little did people know that grunge was soon to have its very own look and inspire the fashion industry, becoming the uniform for cultured-cool with a hint of bad-ass angst in the mix. What are the telltale signs of grunge fashion? Aside from Kurt Cobain tees, big in the ‘too cool to care’ look was the distressed trend on denimwear.

Albeit an old fashion trend, distressed jeans have been immortalized as cool pants no matter what demographic they are worn by. Appropriate for casual and nightwear, these versatile bottoms are a must-have for any fashion girl!

Considering getting a pair for yourself? You’re in good hands, as we are going over the key markings of a quality pair of ripped jeans.

1. The right amount of distressed shredding

We have to give it to the style pioneer who decided a few shreds on jeans were cool to see on the streets. You can tell a good pair of ripped jeans apart from those that easily break at the seams (literally) from the amount of shredding done on the pantleg. Go for a pair that has shredding but has strong threads that won’t bore a hole during the first wash.

2. Loose fit in the calf area

Achieve ultimate cool-girl status by choosing ripper jeans that have just enough breathing room in the calf area. E! Online shares that ripped jeans won’t look any good if you're too short or too tall for the "regular" styles. Keeping an allowance around the calf area will allow your body to adjust and the ripped details will fall flatteringly on either your knee or lower thigh, for a cheeky flair on your jeans.

3. Less holes, more panels

BNY Jeans advises that while huge rips and holes are certainly head-turners, this is very daring style, and is extremely hard to pull off. Instead of buying a pair of overly ripped jeans (and fall victim of looking like a hobo), settle on a pair that is still wearable and strikes the balance between edgy and high-fashion.

4. Faded coloration

Denim wash has always been a favorite undone statement for fashionistas across the globe. Make sure your ripped jeans have a denim wash coloration to stay true to real grunge fashion. Washed out jeans are also good canvases! Stitch Fix shares that light wash jeans can be a base for adding your favorite on-trend piece such as a designer buckle belt, iron-on patchwork, and more.

Review: Matte in Detail Liquid Lipstick

National Lipstick Day has passed few weeks ago and I wasn't able to share my own lipstick collection (tho it's not that much) because I was so busy and got no time to write nor update my socmed during those times. When I was checking on my lippies recently, I discovered some of the liquid lipsticks I got from Detail Makeover. I got a lot of shades on these batch but gave some away to friends and family before I even used them because it was BOGO last time I got them.

These were my first from the brand and I just discovered them from a makeup group. I wasn't even familiar with the brand before but I was convinced to get some for myself because they have a BOGO promo that time.

I got a lot of shades but the remaining ones are Sabrina, Naima, Rhea, Krysle and Mitchiko. I only had 5 left to review because I gave them away already. Let me share them to you one by one.

Sabrina - This is a plum shade that can easily glide on the lips. Hard to blend though as it tends to get patchy so prime your lips first for smooth application.

Naima - This is close to magenta and also easy to apply on the lips. Might feel a bit drying so a balm underneath and on top of it won't hurt. I find this blendable so it's easy to use for casual occasions.

Rhea - Dusty rose in a light pink shade. I find this difficult to apply and I feel that it doesn't suit me. My lips feel tacky and it tends to patch.

Krysle - Medium nude brown shade which is easy on the lips. I find this easy to wear and also applicable for daily use. Still feels drying as a stand alone product so a balm underneath is still needed.

Mitchiko - Medium pink shade which tends to get tacky when not handled properly.

All of their applicator are doe-foot type and they all smell like melon to me. In my own opinion, all of this looks good on the lips provided that there's a need to use a balm underneath or your option if you put something on top of it. But if you're brave enough to use it as a stand alone product, be ready for the drying feeling once it sit on your bare lips. It is really matte that's why it feels dry when used alone.

Yay for me! (。◕‿  ◕。)
  • Bought it on sale for BOGO for P225.00. Not a bad deal!
  • Available in different shades
  • Smells melon and I think it's a plus point for me
  • Pigmented
  • Long-wearing.

Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • I bought it at Cosmetix Unlimited and their stall on Robinsons Starmills closed already so I do not know where to get ow. I think online shop is the best option.
  • Really feels dry on bare lips. There is always a need for a balm. I  am a lippie person and most of the time, I just put lip products and I'm good, but for this, I really can't last an application without a balm.
  • There are shades that are difficult to apply.
  • Some shades tends to patch.
Price: Buy 1 Get 1 for P225.00
Bought from: Cosmetix Unlimited - Robinsons Starmills
Size: 4.2 g.

So if you are looking for a budget-friendly lippie that is long-wearing and pigmented, then I suggest to get this. However, if you are the type that just like to swipe a product in your lips, well, I already gave you a warning that it might get drying on the lips.

Overall, I like the product because they are available in different kinds of colors and it's very-pigmented. My only issue though is that it is really very drying for me. I am the type of person that always do quick touch-ups during work so this is really not for me. Sadly, I will not repurchase.

Have you tried the brand? Any thoughts?

Review: Baby Foot Mask

I have been a mask lover. Since I started this blog years ago, my passion was really to test out new products in the market, especially skincare. Even before, I remember my favorite item to review would always be masks. Be it sheet mask, wash off, peel off, among others. I also get to discover different types of mask even for hands and feet.

I discovered foot mask as I was trying on different products and I came across Baby Foot. It was Project Vanity's 10th year anniversary when I got the chance to attend the event and received this product for free. I just did one of their activities in the said event and got this in return. Baby Foot is a Japanese foot mask brand which goal is to remove hard skin, leaving soft and smooth feet. It retails at around P800 each.  Good thing I was able to get it there and experience it because it's pretty expensive and I'm sure the thrifty side in me would not dare repurchase such amount for a foot mask.

It is not my first time to try a foot mask. I already have some fair share of reviews of different foot masks. So far, this is the most expensive I have tried and I thought it differs on some aspect.

PACKAGING
In a box, there's one pair of foot mask. I actually thought there were a lot because it's a box. Before, I have only tried foot masks in packs that's why I though the box would contain a number of masks. In the box, there were Japanese characters that I couldn't understand but there is a mark or logo of that number 1 thing. I have watch in a YT review before that Japanese products which have this #1 logo means that the product is a good buy, bestseller of the most sought item by the customers.

Also, Japanese characters were present on the different parts of the packaging and I can't understand a thing. HAHA.

FIT - I think this one has a great fit because I've tried previous brands and they were too short nor too long for me. Some doesn't even have the tape to bind the excess part of the sock.

SCENT - There's no particular scent when I opened the box. But I can say that it is so much full of essence that it's calming and comforting to put it on.

PRICE - I got it for free but upon checking it retails around P700-800 in some stores like Beauty Bar.

EFFECT - There is no particular effect after using it. The peeling started around 5-7 days after soaking the feet on the essence. I am amazed by the effect that it really peels great amount of skin. However, I think the peeling took a little long. I feel that going barefoot at home with the friction of touching the floor with my feet skin somehow created an impact while its peeling. At first, it started peeling very light and after going barefoot, it started to peel big chunks of skin. Just my thought tho!

Yay for me! (。◕‿  ◕。)
  • Got it for FREE during the Project Vanity 10th Year Anniversary.
  • Effectively peels off the skin after 5-7 days.
  • Calming and comforting.
  • Moisturizing. Even if it peels off, it does not dry the skin.
  • Baby-soft skin after.
  • Even if it's written in Japanese characters, steps to use it is not a problem because there are photos explaining what to do. I am actually not quite sure if there's an English translation on the direction to use. Used this for a little long time already but just got time to review today.

Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • Expensive for me.
  • Only available at selected beauty stores.
Price: P700-800
Bought from: Beauty Bar and other selected stores
Size: 1 pair

I like it yes, but I still feel it's a little expensive. I have tried other foot mask and they peel as well. I think each kind has different time frames in peeling. But they all have the same effect.

So if I would purchase, I guess not. If it's on sale, I might still think twice. I am using a P100 foot mask and it works great as well. So I think the answer would still be a no.

Have you tried this one? What are your thoughts?
