Review: Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam #9 (Rice)

It's been a while since I last reviewed beauty products. I've been on hiatus for so long and been pregnant and all so I wasn't able to use just any products I wish to try. I always first read the labels and always prefer ditching away those with paraben and other harmful ingredient.

During my first trimester, I wasn't used to into putting products on my body. I just felt tired and lazy. As gross as it may seem, I sometimes don't use shampoo or conditioner on my hair nor use facial wash or soaps rather. Talking about hormonal changes! I actually thought I'll be a neat freak during those times but believe me, that's the time that I just feel not doing anything. Plus the smell of just any product stresses me out! Even the smell of coffee makes me want to throw up.

Everything changed during my second trimester and that's where I started to begin using products again. For my facial wash, I started using the one I kept from Etude House months ago. My sister bought it for me and upon checking the label, it contains rice. Rice has been used in some beauty products, especially in Asian countries as it is know to cleanse and moisturize.

Notice that Korean products has that cover before the product itself. They're very hygienic and this only proves that the product you get is new because nobody surely opened it and dispensed some from it because of the inner covering.

Since what I got is a foam, I tried testing it with a BB cream to see if it can be removed immediately. I'm thinking if I can lather it up without water. Of course I would still use this with water for better cleansing. :)

I admit that my skin has been dry and dirty because of my current pregnancy and good thing I already surpassed the stage where I dreadfully dislike beauty products. Thankful for the little help I got from Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam. I hope I can recover my skin's glow again.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • It has an inner covering for sanitary purposes.
  • Cleanses and moisturizes my skin for a couple of hours.
  • Lathers really well.
  • Lightweight feel.
  • No strong scent.
  • A little goes a long way!
  • Wide range of variety to choose from which will target your skin's problem. Choose from 1-12 (January- December)

Nay for me! (。◕︵◕。)
  • It stings the eyes horribly so shut your eyes first.
  • The effect isn't permanent when it comes to moisturizing.

Price: P198.00
Bought from: Etude House Eastwood Branch
Size: 100 ml.

Admittedly, my skin right now needs a lot of moisture. I just can't get the courage to post my skin like this! Haha. It was just so dry. I think I need to get my skin's moisture back first before parading my face again in public. LOL

I think I'll be changing my facial foam after I emptied this tube and will try to look for a product that will suit my skin's needs especially now after post pregnancy. I'm eyeing the one from The Body Shop. I'm hoping that it will suit my skin type.

You? What facial wash or foam are you using lately? Share your experience with it!

  1. Parang expensive for 100ml? But I like that it doesn't have a strong scent like other products and that it seems to clean well based on that BB cream photo. I still wouldn't buy it though, since I already found a good one to use :)

    1. This is actually a standard price for facial foams. Others are more expensive than this.

  2. I suppose the product is good. However, as a health advocate, I always tell people to buy only products that has complete label and one that can be read (language). In the end, users are responsible for their own health and knowing exactly what is being put on skin is a responsibility. :)

    1. It has complete label though. I must admit though that this is not a natural product.

    2. Yes it does, unfortunately, written in English. As more and more people are becoming aware of checking labels, the need for companies to publish labels in English becomes more important. Personally, there is no product that is truly natural. While the active ingredients may be natural (usually extracts), there are other ingredients added as part of the manufacturing process and others for other purposes.

Think of the basic "ORGANIC" label in the USA. It only means 70% of the content is organic while the rest is not.

  3. Now, I would love to try this! I've been using their Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam for months now and I've been inlove with it ever since. Since I'm running low on stocks, I will grab this one on my next shopping trip at Althea :)

  5. Always take precaution when using this kind of product considering the fact that you're already in your 2nd semester.

But anyway, congratulations you made it. Your "appetite" has been back reviewing beauty products such as this cleaning foam.

  11. It's important to keep your skin moisturized in order to maintain the elasticity. I know that when you are pregnant you shouldn't use a lot of products, but this looks like a natural one, good to use.

    1. I know, that's why I refrained from using products. I don't use this daily and I'm sure this doesn't have paraben.

    1. Oh yes. Even the rice wash that you usually cook, you can also use that to wash your face. I prefer using the second wash though as it was cleaner than the first.

  14. Ahh pregnancy, it definitely did a number on my face too, especially while I was pregnant and after I gave birth to my son! When I was preggy with my daughter I had the best skin ever but when I was carrying my son, OMG, that's the worst my skin has ever been. :P

I've always loved Etude House products and I use their BB cream, eyebrow pencils and lip tints, but I've not tried their skin care line, will definitely check it out the next time I'm in Etude. :)

    1. You can try this if you want or any facial wash from Human Heart Nature, The Body Shop, Innisfree, for those are natural and some are organic. Check the label as well.
