Second
day of Pampanga Food Tour and it was such a nice treat to begin the day at
Mother’s Cake House. Equipped with a camera and an empty stomach, I know I will
enjoy Day 2 of Pampanga Food Tour and Mother’s was definitely a great start.
Mother’s Cake House is
a store that sells home made desserts and pastries. It’s really low
in price but with high quality desserts. Pochollo Flores, the young
entrepreneur who owned Mother’s greeted us warmly when we arrived for breakfast
on the second day of the tour. Mother’s is located at Balibago, Angeles infront
of Savers Mall.
Even if the store mostly offers pastries and cakes, they also
have other snacks like palabok, tacos (which was soooooo daaamn good) among
others!
BEEHIVE
CHOCOLATE CRINKLES
BANANA CAKE
BROWNIES
CREAM PUFFS
PALABOK
BAKED MACARONI
TACOS
SANSRIVAL
MANGO CINNAMON
CROQUEMBOUCHE
I got a lot of favorites
here. I love their Beehive. It’s not too sweet. It’s just the right amount of
sweetness I prefer. Mango Cinnamon and Cream Puffs were also my bet! Too sad
I wasn’t able to taste Croquembouche because no one dared to break the
presentation of those little tiny looking balls dripping with vanilla syrup.
What I love the most though was their Tacos. I think it’s the
yummiest tacos I’ve ever tasted so far. It’s so generous with cheese and
overpowering with flavor!
