Manicure Monday: KOFI

School's back and what can I say but I'm not excited! Haha. Seriously I'm not. Compared to few years ago that I'm looking forward to go to work especially after a vacation but now I wasn't. There are a lot of factors why and I don't want to mention all of those and I'll just keep those things to myself. Perhaps I'm not really in the mood to open up for now. 

Anyhow, I need to fix all my stuff for the opening of classes so I cleaned all my things, my bags, mu school uniform, my daily work stuff and of course, I wouldn't forget my daily nail polishes. Since it's the first week, I want to start simple and laid back so I polished on OMG's Kofi nail lacquer which I got from my May haul. 


The color was very mild and soft that you wouldn't notice I had polishes on. I like it for the first week of class. It's like leaving an impression in the students that I'm all natural and they don't know my wild side...yet! Hahaha.. :)


I noticed that OMG excluded the 3 formula from this polish - the toluene, DBP and formaldehyde. Those were the ingredients that makes the polish hard to maintain and makes the nails dry. Make sure to always take care of your nails by putting nail butter or oils to them. Lately, I always put oil on my nails and the yellow marks slowly disappeared. 

Overall, I like the color. It looks so natural and perfect for formal occasion as well. I am thinking if I will go all neon on the second week of class or will I still maintain the mood? Anyway, you'll noticed that I skipped doing nail art here since I don't want my students to see my nail arts YET. I'm leaving an impression so they'll think I'm all serious, but I'm not. Haha.. So yeah, let me be laid-back on the first day, okay? :)

    I really like the colour! Very natural and light. :> I'm not a huge fan of brown coloured nail polishes but this one isn't heavy.

    haha, i love how you swang around the mood to a good excuse to get your nails done. Speaking for the guys, i haven't see too many women going for nail polish that looks very similar to their skin color, did you pick this one on purpose?

      Yup. It's a drugstore find and I really meant it to be a nude color so it would look less colorful in front of my students.

    Love the color, too. Is lacquer the same with gel or different? I've recently discovered gel polish and I find it more cost effective kasi matagal mag chip off. :)

    This is the kind of nail color I like. I've used this kind of color back in college so it's not so attention grabbing. Haha. Thanks for mentioning the butter.

    I love the tone of this polish! I like neutral looks only for nails or the typical black or red. This tone I approve :)
