I played a little on my Monday nails and decided to experiment with colors. I know it might not be the perfect nail art but it's great to make mistakes sometimes. It's the perfect reason to do better next time. I think I can perfect this design if I'll do it again.
This was inspired by Miss Nicole of Beauty and Sparkle, I saw her blog post on the recent mani that she had and I thought that it was easy to follow. I thought wrong. There are many challenges on creating this design.

If you want to recreate the same nail art, follow Miss Nicole's steps.
- Cut the tape strips beforehand. Measure them well, so that the strip can divide each nail into three equal diagonal parts.
- Choose the color combos that you want for your nails. This is the hardest part!
- Apply two thin coats of your base coat.
- Stick the tape on diagonally across the center of your nails.
- Paint your nails as usual, using a different color for the top and bottom.
- Once dry, slowly peel off the tape. Tip: Grab the tape from the bottom and peel upwards, so you don’t destroy the polish.
- Apply two thin layers of your shiniest top coat.
It's really a pity it wasn't perfect but I will really practice more on nail arts. I am just so happy when I saw the design from Miss Nicole and hurriedly created my own. She's such an inspiration. Thanks Miss Nicole!
More of my nail arts soon! XOXO ♥
Looks like cool, I like the style you made with these .. Manicures. The colors are nice. Just keep the awesome work :)
ReplyDeleteTheir summer colors but I don't like the blending of color much. :(
DeleteLooks nice to me. I noticed too that the spaces where uneven but it's a small thing. Your nails still scream summer fun!
ReplyDeleteYup, which I actually hate. The technique pala, it should be even so the colors are also evenly distributed. Di ko natantya ung tape. :(
DeleteI like your style, my daughter will surely imitate this.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how would this nail art how on small/ tiny nails. Post your daughter's work sis. ;)
DeleteThat's a really nice pattern for nails. It really stands out and looks great.
ReplyDeleteReally? Thanks! :)
DeleteI think what you did is pretty & the uneven edges still looked okay for me, it's as if they're part of the design. The stripes and the colors make me think of these huge striped lollipop and these striped candies ( I just forgot the name of the brand ).
ReplyDeleteYup. The colors looks like the one from a lollipop twirl. :)
Deletehhaha another funky nail colors....look like your having some fun while doing this
ReplyDeleteYep. Fun and a bit of stress at the same time. Good stress though, if there is one. Haha.
DeleteWow, I admire your patience. I don't have the patience or talent to do something like this. I'd say you still did a great job even if it wasn't perfect. You'll do better next time. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I actually hope I would. Thanks sis.
DeleteI love what you did to your nails. It's really cute. Oh I would love to copy this. Thanks for the tip. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. Feel free to copy and also tag Miss Nicole.
DeleteI don't know how to paint my own nails, so I find it admirable with what you can do with yours everytime I drop by here.
ReplyDeleteThen I'll take that as a compliment? Hehe. Thanks :)
DeleteLooks cool! The lines on the nails need some cleaning up though.
ReplyDeleteActually, the lines needs to show but I just didn't filed my nails short so it was obvious.
